Do I need to be "able to sing" to join?
Not at all! We welcome everyone from all abilities in VocSoc. Some who join us have a lot of previous singing experience and others with little experience. But you don't need any singing experience to join us at VocSoc!
Do I need to audition to join VocSoc?
No, we don't hold any auditions here at VocSoc. Everyone is welcome to join us. Just come along and have a singsong!
Does it matter if I only go to singing session or only go to socials?
Not at all! We have some members who come to every singing session and social. Others that only come to social and some that only come to singing sessions. We have no requirements for anything so just come along whenever you feel like it!
What if I want to join VocSoc on my own?
We always encourage people to join us here at VocSoc even if it's on your own or with friends. We are a friendly group of people so just come along and have a sing along and you will instantly make friends. Being part of a Society is one of the best ways to meet new people and make new friends when you start university, and even through the following years!
How do I go about joining VocSoc?
Firstly, head over to the Warwick SU Website where you will find all the information about societies here at Warwick. Before joining any Society here at Warwick you will need to purchase a Societies Federation Standard Membership for Undergraduates. After purchasing a Federation Membership you can join as many societies as you wish - so head over to OUR Society's page on the Warwick SU Website and buy a standard membership which only costs £3.
Alternatively, if you're a Fresher you'll have the opportunity to buy a Federation Membership and join Societies in the Societies Fair which is held during Fresher's Week!

I didn't join a Society in Term 1, is it too late to join now?
Not at all! It is never too late to join a Society. We have special 're-fresher' sessions and socials in the first couple of weeks of term 2, so feel free to come to any of those or just show up and introduce yourself whenever you decide you want to come!
